aaaaand here...we....go. Here's what I think is going to happen http://www.sportsora...ndex.php?id=461

That's some solid booing for Bettman. He even had to Foley 'Hometown pop' just to slow things down. Thrice.

Tambellini is taking his sweet ass time, isn't he?

With the 1st overall pick, the Edmonton Oilers draft....

Taylor Hall

This certainly can't be the wrong choice. He's easily the best player available, it's just not a good fit. Too many wingers. Word going on pre-draft is that the Oilers were willing to move up to and including Jordan Eberle to get at Seguin. They still might. This might lead to Hemsky being on the block to get at Seguin at #2. He's the best player, and he can't be a bad pick, but Edmonton isn't focusing on their needs right now. Like I said, you can't go wrong by choosing him. It just means that you're going to be back in a situation with world class wingers (well, a few of them. I'm not counting Penner, for the record) and no world class centers.

With the 2nd overall pick, the Boston Bruins draft....

Tyler Seguin

Logical at this point. Far and above the best player available now. Being reported that the B's will be moving Savard and going Bergeron/Krecji/Seguin (if he progesses well) next year. Of the remaining players, it's the perfect pick. Quote me on this: Don't be surprised to see Boston and Edmonton come to a decision regarding a Hemsky for Savard trade before the weekend is done.

No one cares about this, but I'm rocking the old Eggplant and Teal Mighty Ducks jersey, because I am awesome.

Good lord. Killer trade for Florida. 1st rounder, plus Grabner (as good as a first rounder) and Bernier for Ballard and the worst Oreskovich. Disgusting, and Florida now has 3 first round picks, and like 11 2nd rounders

With the 3rd overall pick, the Florida Panthers....

Erik Gudbranson

The right choice here. Considering that they just moved their only competant defenseman (go to hell, Bryan McCabe) it became less and less likely that they'd trade this pick. Good choice. I'd be scared about seeing him.

With the 4th overall pick, the Columbus Blue Jackets draft....

Ryan Johansen

So...like, 7 picks ahead of pace. This is going to go well for me. Sure, Columbus needs a center. I assume this takes them out of the Savard race and into the market for any competant defenseman. Surprised that they couldn't have moved down and gotten some value for picking off-the-board, but this is why I don't GM a team. Although, this might be why Columbus constantly chooses in the Top 10.

Oh, apparently this trade isn't done yet. I assume that pick is going to be Jarred Tinordi, who seems right on that team, and who everyone is projecting to go there. Vancouver fans should hope that this trade doesn't go through, because it's just shockingly poor.

With the 5th overall pick, the New York Islanders draft....

Nino Niederreiter

Beautiful. Everyone knows how highly I think of El Nino. He's outstanding, I just couldn't imagine that he would move up this quickly. Amazing, amazing, amazing choice.

Tampa is apparently not interested in a goaltender. That's good, because they don't have one. Expect Fowler here, you can't pass him up at this number.

With the 6th overall pick, the Tampa Bay Lightning draft....

Brett Connolly

I don't like this. Connolly is a good pick at this number, but....I don't like him in this situation. Tampa's needs end with wingers. I trust Steve Yzerman, but this is...feast of famine. What an odd pick.

With the 7th overall pick, the Carolina Hurricanes draft....

Jeff Skinner

Wow. Wow, wow, wow. I don't get it. Granted, you have a million needs if you're Carolina, but Fowler and Gormley can take some pressure off of Cam Ward, since Carolina doesn't currently employ defensemen. Good for Skinner, he's going to be money, but I am just blown away by some of the choices so far. Which is why I'm 1/7. Which is why I work for a bank.

With the 8th overall pick, the Atlanta Thrashers draft....

Alexander Burmistrov

I don't even deserve to be predicting this. Actually, in this case, I don't like it. Burmistrov, sure, decent center. Atlanta needs defensemen. They have Kane, Little, Peverly and Antropov. There's no reason to nab another center. He's good - really good. I don't know why you don't grab one of the 2 d-men who are going to be complete steals at this point. I don't like it. I don't like it at all.

With the 9th overall pick, the Minnesota Wild draft....

Mikael Granlund

I originally was upset. I like Etem a lot more than Granlund. At least there's a logic to this. Minnesota didn't need a defemseman or a goalie. He's going to be a good player, and the heir apparent to Mikko Koivu to lead this team in the future. I don't dislike it. I think it's a bit early. You could have made a bigger mistake though.

Anaheim is totally going to get Fowler or Gormley, which is just disgusting.

With the 10th overall pick, the New York Rangers draft....

Dylan McIlrath

So, let's take the 6th seeded defenseman....He's ok. This is a really messed up pick, but hey. Hugh Jessiman, amirite? This is awful. Why does Glen Sather have a job and I don't? This is awful. Awful. Awful. There is no logic to overlooking 2 superior defensemen to get MacIlrath. Idiots.

If this isn't Jack Campbell, I eat my pants

With the 11th overall pick, the Dallas Stars draft....

Jack Campbell

Perfect. I said right off that Jackie Campbell couldn't be available for Dallas to choose. This is the right pick. Love it, love this kid. Fantastic pick. I don't know what Pierre Macguire is freaking out about. Kari Lehtonens hips are barely functional, he's not the long term solution here.

With the 12th overall pick, the Anaheim Ducks draft....

Cam Fowler

Highway robbery. I'm blown away. I was expecting that they'd move heaven and earth to get either him or Gudbranson. Everyone above Anaheim are goddamn idiots. What a windfall for Anaheim, PLUS another pick at the end of the draft.

Has to be Gormley now, you'd think....

With the 13th overall pick, the Phoenix Coyotes draft....

Brandon Gormley

Nice to get a top 5 pick this late. Great pick, and it's not even like Phoenix had to do anything remarkable. This is what they needed, this is what they got. Fantastic. I continue, everyone above Phoenix should be ashamed.

With the 14th overall pick, the St. Louis Blues draft....

Jaden Schwartz

I...really thought he'd fly under the radar. He's a decent pick. I like him, he's skyrocketed near the end of the season in the scouting list. St. Louis is young enough and talented enough that you can leave this guy to season for a season or two and bring him in to play on the 3rd line to get some face time. Good pick.

With the 15th overall pick, the Florida Panthers ....

trade their pick to Los Angeles for the 19th and 59th pick in 2010

It's Emerson Etem time, motherfuckers

With the 15th overall pick, the Los Angeles Kings draft....

Derek Forbort

Tremendous defenseman, but I don't think Los Angeles needs to move up to grab another one. Los Angeles is significantly stronger on the back end than up front. I like Forbort - A lot. Considering Doughty, Johnson, Tuebert and Hickey are this teams future, I don't know why you'd grab a d-man.

With the 16th overall pick, the Ottawa Senators trade....

Pick 16 to St. Louis for David Rundblad.

This is crazy good for them. With Forbort off the table, if they were going for a defenseman then it's slim picking ahead. Rundblad is 1 year closer to being ready, and he's a sickeningly good prospect. Win for Ottawa.

With the 16th overall pick, the St. Louis Blues draft....

Vladmir Tarasenko

Good choice. St. Louis is deep at D. I had him a few picks later, and while I'd have preferred Austin Watson, he's a solid, solid pick. He'll be a good 2nd liner behind the Inglorious Backes. On the other hand, Ottawa gets a player better than they could have conceivably drafted. Good deal.

With the 17th overall pick, the Colorado Avalanche draft....

Joey Hishon

I had to wait until his name showed up to know how to spell his name. Way off the board. Alright then, I only barely give a shit at this point. I only checked out the Top 40. This is mind blowing.

Austin Watson and Emersen Etem are still available. Not that this matters anymore. I don't know why I'm still commenting on this. Awful.

With the 18th overall pick, the Nashville Predators draft....

Austin Watson

Goddamn FINALLY. This kid is fantastic. I love him, I like where he's picked, and I like that he is going here. He's got a good future ahead of him. Good pick by Nashville. I really can't say enough about this pick. It's a smart pick. I don't care about Nashville at all, but Watson is a steal here. Nothing else I can say.

With the 19th overall pick, the Florida Panthers draft....

Nick Bjugstad

Called this one before they did. It's a good choice for the future. He'll be a first liner within 2 years. Florida is making out like gangbusters here.

Going to the #20 pick, I originally chose someone way off the board. Given how this has gone, I wouldn't be surprised to be right here.

With the 20th overall pick, the Pittsburgh Penguins draft....

Beau Bennett

At least they chose a winger. I almost give up at this point. This draft is deeper than most expected, and there are some good 2nd line players coming. Nothing elite, but a lot of solid players. This isn't a bad pick.

With the 21st overall pick, the Detroit Red Wings draft....

Riley Sheahan

YES! 2 FOR 21!!!! He's a great fit for all the reasons I said. He's got talent, but he needs development, and no one develops like Detroit. Good choice. Where the hell is Etem though?

With the 22nd overall pick, the Phoenix Coyotes trade....

the 22nd pick and the 113th for 27 and 56 to Montreal

With the 22nd overall pick, the Montreal Canadiens draft....

Jarred Tinordi

This is who I assume that Vancouver was waiting for. It's a good pick, if you want a defenseman. I don't dislike him, I just want Montreal to have had a strong Centerman. He's a good pick at this number. Here is hoping they don't drop him for the worst contract in the league.

With the 23rd overall pick, the Buffalo Sabres draft....

Mark Pysyk

Well, I had him going 12th to Anaheim. This is a good, safe pick, I like it, and I think that while Buffalo could have done well picking a winger, he's a good player for 2-3 years from now. Good pick.

With the 24th overall pick, the Chicago Blackhawks draft....

Kevin Hayes

Sure. I don't even care at this point. I'll document anything going forward, but to hell with this shit. Awful.

25 - Florida takes Quinton Howden. Good pick, love it. About time.

26 - Washington takes Evgeny Kuznetsov - 2nd line center? sure.

27 - Phoenix takes Mark Vistenten. Really? Over Calvin Pickard? REALLY? This is awful.

28. Fucxk this noise. I am done. Good luck, everyone. Goodnight.
